These single session classes are an opportunity for alums to try a new teacher or
new students to see what we're all about! Each class meets once. You can enroll as a participant or an auditor.
Viewpoints and Improv Free Classes require no outside prep. Scene Study Free
Classes requires outside prep for Participants only. Participants will be pre-assigned a scene partner. Prep a scene
of 10 minutes or less. Please be off book and ready to work. Auditors are invited to observe the class.

Steppenwolf
Classes West are exclusive scene study classes taught
by members of Stepppenwolf’s acclaimed ensemble
as well as guest teachers intimate with our theatre’s
work.
We
grew up in an actor-driven theatre where trust,
challenge and practice led to individual and collaborative
growth. The goal for our Los Angeles classes
is the same as our goal in Chicago at our theatre
and summer school:
We want to create an environment where your work is respected
and practicing your craft is paramount...
These
classes are a place for you to practice, to challenge
yourself, to grow.
